About our GUEST SPEAKER COACH MEGAN YOUNG:

Megan Young enters her third season with the Chicago Red Stars as the High-Performance Director. Previously, Young worked for the Auburn University Athletics Department where she was part of the strength and conditioning staff for 11 years. After working with the student-athletes in the baseball and football programs, Young became directly responsible for year-long programming and implementation of all strength and conditioning related activities for the women’s soccer and basketball programs.

She currently holds certifications from the NSCA, Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa), USA Weightlifting (USAW), and USA Track and Field (USAWTF).

About the COACH EMPOWERMENT NETWORK:

After talking to many female coaches around the world about their experiences in the sports industry, I realized how much I resonated with all of them from all my experiences since I started my coaching career. I decided to create a discussion group where we will meet once a month through Zoom to support and engage each other in those conversations. This is not only open to female coaches, we want male coaches to also join the conversation as this is the only way we can grow and empower each other in the sports industry. This is open for everybody who works with sports in one way or another. We will have women working in the world of sports presenting some of their own challenges and growth experiences, discuss a variety of different topics and make this as engaging as possible. It will also be a great way to network and meet other coaches who might share the same ideas (or not) in our industry. Communication, understanding, exchanging ideas and experiences are one of the most powerful ways to grow. This is a free service, all you need is to click on the link to register!
